Nina Nesbitt sings ‘The Best You Had’ live in session | ellesse Make it Music

ellesse Make it Music is a series of studio sessions filmed and recorded at Metropolis Studios, London. Exclusive interviews and performances from both established & up-and-coming artists are released every fortnight via our ellesse UK YouTube channel.

Singer-songwriter Nina Nesbitt is back with a brand new bang. Having spent the last two years growing artistically and carving her own identity, Nina’s music has evolved from its acoustic roots to produce heartfelt tracks that are her most honest reflection yet.

Born in Edinburgh, half-Scottish/half-Swedish Nina began uploading videos to YouTube from her bedroom at the age of 17. Her music grabbed the industry’s attention when she charted at No.21 in the UK top 40 with her first single ‘Stay Out’.

After recently signing to Cooking Vinyl records, Nina has released her new single ‘The Moments I’m Missing’, featuring rapper Goody Grace. She’s also set to drop a new album this year, which promises to be a mixture of pop-inspired melodies that tell tales of young love, heartbreak and growing up.

For her Make it Music session, Nina has performed her track ‘ The Best You Had’, with soulful backing vocals from the London Contemporary Voices Choir.

Fyfe sings Closer at ellesse Make it Music

ellesse Make it Music is a series of studio sessions filmed and recorded at Metropolis Studios, London. Exclusive interviews and performances from both established & up-and-coming artists are released every fortnight via our ellesse UK YouTube channel.

To say Fyfe is a technical musician would be an understatement. As he’s sound-checking his band ready for their Make it Music session, he orchestrates every element of the ensemble with such precision that each performance is almost perfect from the first take.

As you listen to Fyfe, a.k.a. Paul Dixon, you may get a feeling of familiarity from his voice. After being scouted by a record label while studying economics at Manchester University, Londoner Fyfe traded in academia to focus his efforts on his music career, recording under the alias ‘David’s Lyre’. He then went on to self-release his ‘Picture of Our Youth EP’, before taking some time out to establish Fyfe as we hear him today.

For his Make it Music session, Fyfe has performed his tracks ‘Closer’ and ‘Relax’.

ellesse Heritage AW17 Womens Collection

Shaping the future by honoring the past. The ellesse AW17 women’s collections put a twist on timeless styles – each one embodying our heritage.

Hero Collection gives a contemporary edge to definitive pieces from the ellesse archives. Details like piped seams, knitted jacquard and cracked logo prints offer a new take on classic designs.

90’s is a fashion forward assembly of retro styles with a simple red, white and blue colour palette. Taking inspiration from the US flag, the range draws on nostalgia with elements that play up to the 90’s era; retro popper pants, funnel-neck cropped tees and bomber collar necklines – not forgetting the iconic shell suit.

Earthy tones in the Androgyny collection add a feminine touch to oversized styles that bring out your inner tomboy. Exaggerated sizing and straight cuts in garment-dyed cotton and suedette offer a chic perspective on comfort.

Contemporary Taping encapsulates the name; a collection of modern styles with a strong branded focus. Blue and grey marl provide a clean backdrop for bold logo taping features.

Our Sloungewear collection takes original cut and sew panel designs straight from the archives to create slouchy cuts in on-trend wide rib jersey and velour. Classic grey marl and monotone hues are set off by dark spruce green.

ellesse Heritage AW17 Mens Collection

Shaping the future by honoring the past. ellesse AW17 menswear embraces contemporary takes on timeless styles; each collection embodying our heritage.

Hero Collection takes inspiration from the ellesse archives to create modern reissued styles from classic designs. Simple iconic detailing like contrast panels and piping pay homage to original silhouettes while staying true to our rich history.

Bold block paneling in the 90’s collection is brought together by an Americana-inspired red, white and navy colour palette. City tour graphics give nostalgic peices a modern twist.

Badged Up says it all in the name. Vintage badge designs from the ellesse archives are given a military edge using space dyed fabric, camouflage prints and faded graphics.

Earthed combines heritage styling and contemporary flair to create timeless pieces. A natural colour palette, tonal branding and on-trend oversized styling incorporates poly track fabrics and embroidered badging, remaining true to our roots.

Midnight Essentials sees versatile black and white sport-influenced pieces set off by splashes of bold red and semi-palla logo taping.

An evolution of previous designs, the new Oro collection is a more luxe capsule, with dark anthracite velour and gold embroidered logo detailing setting the tone.

BlackWaters

With a sound reminiscent of the 1970’s punk movement, BlackWaters are on a mission to reboot rock ‘n’ roll anarchy in the UK. Or in their own words, they’re ‘capturing the essence of a disaffected youth’. Undeniably, their chaotic sound and bold lyrics are making the right kind of racket. BlackWaters are four 18-year-old mates who met at college in Guildford; Max Tanner (Vocals), David Carpenter (Guitar), Ollie Franklin (Bass) and James Watkins (Drums). Boasting a sound beyond their years, the boys recently got spotted by Carl Barat of The Libertines, who has gone on to help them produce tracks like ‘Jarred up Generation’ and their latest single ‘So Far Out’. This year the band have been touring with Strange Bones and are set to play a homecoming gig in Guildford at the end of this month, as well as supporting The Libertines and Maxïmo Park in August. For their Make it Music session, BlackWaters are bringing the noise with their tracks ‘Down’ and ‘Yeah’.
